This week's classwork was fun... we started our brainstorming and question creation for our survey. Ours should prove to be a unique one I think!
Guided Practice Assignment #3 was interesting... two data sets with the same mean and median but vastly different ranges and standard deviations. It was pretty nice to be able to use the statistics terminology to show that the median is not the only central tendency to use when comparing two data sets.
Our group met via Faceflow on Monday evening. We discussed several controversial topics that were bound to cause some interesting real-life confrontation and varying responses... then we chose to go with the literary/Hollywood route (thankfully!)... We brainstormed a question list and then ordered our queries in a logical manner. One of the group members then created the google survey for us (I need to try this out for myself soon!).
On a personal note... my attempt to complete the Ironman 70.3 Racine was effectively thwarted by Mother Nature at about mile 61 or so! Oh well, I chose to call it myself prior to becoming one the many who fell-out hard and wound up on a cot in the medical tent with an iv. I just hope that I've learned something that i can apply to the big event at the end of next month!
